Collserolla: The hills of Barcelona by road bike
Barcelona is surrounded by Collserolla, a range of mountains with spectacular views of the city from the top, discovering Barcelona by road bike is the best way to do it.
Hills of Barcelona is our preferred and recommended ride if you have never been riding in the area. Barcelona offers challenging hills, quiet roads, and spectacular views during this hole route. From our headquarters, which are strategically located near the north of the city, you will be riding in country side roads in about 15-20 mins.
Hills of Barcelona is a must ride if you are fan of 4-5km long hills and steady gradient: Cementery of Collserolla, La Vallensana, La Conerería, Forat del Vent and Tibidabo. All of them are popular climbs amongst locals.
Being so close to Barcelona, you have the option to cut down the route at any point (just roll down to Barcelona!).
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP:
- Skyline views from the top of Cementery de Collserolla.
- Coastal views from the top of Vallensana.
- Small Vineyards near the top of Conrería.
- Beautiful rolling climb of Forat del Vent
- Tibidabo amusement park and church.
The itinerary is adaptable to your needs in distance, climbing, speed and duration depending on your cycling abilities. The main goal is that you enjoy the ride as much as you can!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SELF GUIDED TOURS:
You need to be confident about using a cycling GPS if you choose this option. If you are not confident about using a Garmin or self navigating yourself, we do strongly recommend to select the GUIDED TOUR option. Some facts about the self guided tour:
- Navigating out of the city might be challenging, as you will need to be navigating with the GPS device at the same time you are managing the traffic of the city
- Our Garmins are fully charged when we deliver them to you,
but due to the nature of technology, in certain occasions it might not work as expected
